YuKids Island Play Gym

YuKids Island just opened its doors on 15th Dec 2011 on 2nd Floor of The Curve - with free entry for 4 days! After that, entry fee is chargeable at half the price. This promotion ends on New Year's Day.

RM20 per entry on weekdays and RM30 for weekends/public hols. You can opt to purchase a multiple entry card for RM100 - valid for 5 visits on any day.

Most of the equpiment are similar to Kids E World. Both of the kids really enjoyed themselves!

Almost everything here is an inflatable or is padded.

A big hit among the kids - balloon area where the balloons are blown about in the enclosure.

Birthday party packages available too. Very convenient for parents! No need to plan games/activities - and no mess to clean up after all the kids have gone home!

Lockers & shoe racks provided. No need to wear socks in this gym. No toilets here too.

Bar counter for snacking. No cafe here so bring your own food/drinks. Lots of sitting area inside as well.

Looks like play gyms are good business!

Kids E World

The kids had a blast at the newly opened Kids E World, The Gardens Mall, Mid Valley. We bought 5 weekday passes for RM100. Can be shared between siblings or friends. Validity period is for 3 months. Socks need to be worn - even by adults who are accompanying the children.

What we like :
1) Very spacious
2) Clean toilets
3) Large play area for the very young i.e. babies & toddlers
4) Free Wi-Fi (starting next month)
5) Cafeteria

Overall - the set-up for the older kids play area is pretty much the same as Critterland except that Kids E World is smaller. If comparing the slides, Kids E World's one is better!

Kids E World will be offering various classes e.g. music, dance and art -all starting in September. Of course, children's party packages are available. Plus there's also a KEW Club membership program. Just visit their website for more details!

Critterland

We went to Critterland during the Labour Day weekend break. The journey took us about half an hour as the location is at Heritage Village beside Mines Shopping Centre.

Adults enter for free but rates for the kids are RM22 each as it was a weekend. RM15 only for weekdays. Thanks to a friend, we received 50% discount for the entry fees. Socks are compulsory for everyone.

First up - the trampolines!

Ball pit

There's a small area meant for very young kids

This is for the older kids. It was quite difficult for me and Larry to climb all that to follow Marissa! Evan was sooo at home.

Evan was intrigued by the 'volcano' that spews out foam balls. He kept on reloaded the 'volcano' with baskets of balls so that it would erupt. Older kids can hone their shooting skills with target practice using the guns there.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Larry brought Marissa to try the slide

Evan went down the slide too

He tried swinging on a rope with help from the staff there

He tried this as well..... something like flying fox.... sliding down while holding on the hand rails.

We only spent one hour there and it was good fun! Critterland also gave us a 'loyalty card' whereby we can get a FREE visit if we go there 5 times. This was my very first time INSIDE one of those play gyms - usually I am OUTSIDE - paying for Evan to enter. Pleasant experience - don't mind going again. Oh and if you are there, do drop by the Crocs Outlet located on the ground floor of Mines Shopping Centre for off season crocs shoes sold at half price..... no need to fight/rush/push/shove/queue to go to Crocs Warehouse Sale (selected models 60% off only).
