New Wheels!

This is Larry's new car - the Nissan Grand Livina 1.6(A). Just received it on Sunday - a few days ago - waited less than a month for it. This was because we booked early just after the launch so we managed to get one of the cars from the first batch of 1800 units. The color is a bright sunburst orange metallic. Pretty spacious and can fit 7 people comfortably. We traded the old car Proton Iswara 1.5(A) for a good price : RM14,500 (6 yrs old). This new car costs about RM90,000 as we added the half leather seats in mushroom color and V-kool amorcoat.

The number plate is WQW 3210...... well, we wanted 2100 to match my Perodua Kelisa but when I went to the JPJ to purchase the number, it was sold already - one day too late! The numbers available for RM210 for that day was from 2500 to 4000..... tried 3100 but also sold out so 3210 it was. Couldn't think of any other numbers and didn't want to pay RM350 for other numbers not on sale on that day ie 4001 to 9999. We bought the number in advance because Larry didn't want WQX.... and WQW looks like the word WOW.

Evan seated in his Maxi-Cosi Priori orange car seat at the back. Very comfy car - just in time for the travelling we will be doing during the festive season.

Sugar & Spice and everything Nice!

Say "Cheese!" - Evan gladly smiles for the camera. When asked whether he would like a baby boy or girl - he says baby boy! Well, I went for my detailed scan this morning and praise God! we are expecting a baby girl! My gynae did a thorough scan and all major organs are normal. Lastly she scanned to see the gender..... "Looks like a girl - just let me double confirm..." and after a few clicks..... " Yes - it's a girl alright - you got your wish! Can close shop huh?" Now we'll concentrate on choosing a name and start clearing out Evan's old closet. Plus I get to keep some Gymboree clothes that I purchased!

Huiwearn Kids Store

It's been 2 months already since the opening of my very first ebay store : Huiwearn Kids Store Books Toys More. I started off on ebay Malaysia mainly buying stuff for Evan. Then I progressed to ebay USA for better variety and offers. I've also bought stuff on ebay UK.

Well, since I've been trading on ebay for awhile I thought of selling. Initially I was just selling old and used stuff eg VCDs and mags. Then I thought why not sell children's books? Most sellers offer children's clothes but hardly any books - so I've sourced for books at bargain prices mainly at warehouse sales and also special sales by local bookstores. Other items in my store include toys, clothes and used items.

My recent shipment of Gymboree clothes from the USA were taxed a hefty RM265! That's 20% for import duty and 10% sales tax! Ouch! Didn't know that I had to pay so much in taxes - nevertheless the clothes were soooooooo adorable that I've no regrets and will buy more in the near future (next time I will be using promotion coupons for extra discounts)! I've listed the new arrivals in my store - if you are into Gymboree clothes check them out!

Evan has started nursery again on 7th January 2008.
