CNY at IKEA

A belated post on the last few days of CNY. Went to Ikea for shopping (well, we just moved house and felt that there were tonnes of things to buy!) and also met up with my cousins from my mom's side. Marissa pointing to her Chinese Zodiac : the Rat.
Marissa pushing her own shopping cart. Evan was where else but in Smaland.

Breakfast at Ikea's cafe and restaurant. 99sen for porridge and spring roll. We love the fried chicken wings! Free coffee and refills from 9am-9:30am.

 Evan was the photographer.

He took numerous shots and refused to return the camera!
The acrobatic lion dance performance is an annual affair at Ikea on Chap Goh Mei. Evan took pics of the lion on his digital camera.... we decided to give him our old digicam. He can now take pics and capture videos by himself.

After the rousing performance by the yellow lion above, two red lions went around the entire Ikea store.

Adam & Eve

Evan was busy drawing a picture one afternoon. Whenever I entered the room he says "Don't look!". Very secretive. Once he completed the drawing, he showed it to me with a huge grin on his face. So, I got him to pose with his drawing for a pic. While I reach for the camera, he searched for his Mickey glasses and put it on. Very cheeky looking boy posing with his artwork : entitled Adam & Eve. He didn't know how to spell that so he wrote what he could spell : B-I-B-L-E.

The serpent is on the left and green in colour. It's drawn slithering out of a hole in the Tree. Evan also marked an 'X' in red - meaning WRONG or SIN. He also drew a giraffe on the right.

Anyway, Evan is a huge fan of the Brick Testament. Pic above taken from thebricktestament.com

YES by YTL

We are in the process of severing ties with TMnet. Over the Chinese New Year hols, we subscribed to YES powered by YTL - the fastest 4G mobile internet with voice.

We paid RM399 for the huddle which is sort of like a wireless modem. Up to 4 wi-fi devices can connect to the huddle. There's also a one-time activation fee of RM50 and we get our very own 018 number. If we want to, we can just buy a handphone and use the number. We also purchased the RM50 reload (credit) for our Yes account. Minimum monthly bill is RM30 - pay as you use.

There's a nifty usage calculator at the www.yes.my which you can use to calculate your estimated monthly Yes bill. Charges are calculated for phone calls, sms, music, web, emails and YouTube usage.

Looking forward to buying an iPad!

Random Pics during the hols

We moved into our new condo for about a week already. Larry and I were kept busy unpacking and organizing all our stuff. As of now, we still have some more belongings at the old place. Slowly transferring them bit by bit.

Travelled back to Segamat - my hometown for 2D/1N stay. My parents' house was not affected by the floods. Still, we couldn't use the usual roads to get back as they were flooded. This time round, we entered Segamat via Yong Peng.

Here are some random pics taken during the hols:
